Product & Freshness FAQs

How long does the beef jerky last before it is opened?

Our unopened beef jerky has a shelf life of 12 months from the packaging date. You can find the specific "Best By" date printed on the back of each bag.

Does the jerky need to be refrigerated after opening?

No, refrigeration is not strictly required because the meat is fully cured and dried. However, we highly recommend eating it within 3 to 5 days of opening for the best taste and texture. If you want it to last longer after opening, keeping it in the fridge will help preserve freshness.

What is the little packet inside the bag? Is it safe?

That is an oxygen absorber designed to keep the jerky fresh and prevent mold. It is completely non-toxic, but it is not edible, so please throw it away once you finish the bag.

Ingredients & Nutrition FAQs

Is your beef jerky gluten-free?

Most of our flavors are gluten-free, but please check the specific allergen label on each bag. We use alternative ingredients like gluten-free tamari for our traditional recipes, but some specialty flavors may contain wheat.

Do you use MSG, nitrates, or artificial preservatives?

We believe in keeping things as natural as possible. Our jerky contains no added MSG and no artificial nitrates or nitrites.

What cut of meat do you use?

We use only premium, lean cuts of USDA-inspected Top Round and Bottom Round beef. Lean cuts are essential for making great jerky, as excess fat can cause the product to spoil quickly.

Preparation & Safety FAQs

Is beef jerky raw or cooked?

It is fully cooked! Our beef jerky undergoes a precise heating and dehydration process that cooks the meat to a safe internal temperature while removing moisture. It is 100% ready to eat straight out of the pouch.
